2 weeks = 2.6 million Microsoft Security Essentials download

You may have heard that Microsoft‘s latest AntiVirus named Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) was downloaded 1.5 million times in one week since its launch. Well there is more news regarding that. MSE has continued that trend and its total download count in two weeks has reached 2.6 million.
Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) gets a new certification
Microsoft Security Essentials is growing from strength to strength. Microsoft Security Essentials has just achieved ICSA Labs Anti-Virus Certification on Vista Ultimate 32-bit and Vista Ultimate 64-bit in the Desktop/Server AV Detection & Cleaning Testing criteria. It is worth mentioning that the certification builds on MSE‘s October certification from West Coast Labs.
One thing which is interesting to note here is that the download count for the 2nd week (1.1 million)is less than the download count of the first week (1.5 million) . Does it suggest that MSE‘s download count is on a decline. Microsoft is certainly hoping against this. What do you think? Do share with us.
