Amazon rests its hope on a thinner Kindle to compete with iPad
There is no doubt that ever since the iPad was launched, Amazon has been thinking about ways to compete better with the game changing Apple Tablet. It turns out that they have found an answer. According to Bloomberg, the largest online retailer worldwide will be launching a thinner version of Kindle in August.
According to the two people familiar with the plan:
The device will be thinner and have a more responsive screen with a sharper picture. The new Kindle won’t include a touch screen or color.
While this looks all great that Amazon hasn’t given up hope and is in search of ways to compete with the iPad, I for one feel that the omission of touch screen and color isn’t the perfect solution. Think for yourself do you want to read books in the white-black color combiantion? What are your thoughts? Do share with us.
