Android beats iOS in the smartphone activation race
I don’t know about you but I was expecting this – Android has gone above iOS in the activation race. Android God father Andy Rubin has posted a tweet in which he shares the pleasant news of Google activating more than 300,000 phones each day.
With this amazing milestone, the open source Android just got itself above iOS and BlackBerry in the smartphone activation race. As a matter of fact they have even gone above Nokia’s in crisis Symbian platform.
If you do the maths, Google is nearing the astounding 10 million phones per month sales mark which will take it above Apple big time since Apple’s best quarter saw them 14.1 million iPhones.
Another thing that you should consider based on this mind blowing stats is that it won’t be long before Android becomes the leader of the smartphone market in US.

At that rate in 103 days everyone in the USA could have activated an android…so in about 3 months. Figures seem off to me. When you count the World into those figures….I don’t know.
