Proud owners of Windows Phone 7 powered smartphones will be pleased to know that the increasingly popular Angry Birds game is coming to their handset at a yet to be announced date and time.

This news comes your way courtesy Pocket-Lint who caught up with Rovio’s Peter Vesterbacka. Rovio if you remember is the proud developer of the physics based catapulting game. “We’re working on it,” were the words said by Rovio’s Vesterbacka.

When asked about the reason behind this unacceptable delay, the burden was put on Microsoft and its lawyers as they tried to settle a dispute which arose when Microsoft posted an image of the app without seeking Rovio’s consent and approval.

Angry Birds has been welcomed with phenomenal success and love on Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android platform. Let’s hope that the responsible folks bring the game as early as possible to Windows Phone 7 which now has a new partner Nokia and receive the warm affection and reception it deserves. Speaking of Angry Birds, did you check out the real life version of the game.
