Back in November, we informed you about Apple working and testing its next generation iPhone device (internally known as iPhone (3,1)). Well that claim just got strengthened. An iPhone developer has shared with Macrumors, his discovery of an iPhone OS 4.0 being caught using his app, Pinch Media. This was spotted in the developer’s app  analytics data. What does this mean and what is its significance? We discuss it in the upcoming paragraph.

iPhoneOS4.0

The detection of an upcoming iPhone 4.0 indicates two things

  • Apple has finished building its next generation of iPhone and is currently testing it.
  • The iPhone 4.0 firmware has been developed and is currently under the testing process as revealed by the analytics data.

Unfortunately, little is known about the new features and updates that the upcoming phone and firmware will bring. But whatever it will bring, it will surely be worth waiting for.
