Apple: Future Macs won’t become preinstalled with Flash
So you bought the new Macbook Air and were surprised to find the all important Adobe Flash missing from your extremely slim notebook? Here is the thing – Apple intentionally didn’t ship MacBook Air with Flash and plans on doing so with the future Mac pieces as well.
So what gives? Apparently, Apple all of a sudden has realized that you and your Mac will be more secured if you download the must have web technology from Adobe’s official site rather than getting it pre-installed:
We’re happy to continue to support Flash on the Mac, and the best way for users to always have the most up to date and secure version is to download it directly from Adobe.
I don’t like the pathetic explanation put forward by Apple PR guys and here’s why:
- Why Steve Jobs and Co all of a sudden have become concerned about our security?
- News update for you Apple: If a Mac is running an older version or insecure one, Adobe does throw in a reminder.
What’s your take on this? Let your thoughts fly in.

Adobe demo new tool which can convert Flash into HTML5: http://bit.ly/b9bmbu #adobe #flash #html5 they let Adobe take care of that themselves. If they want the Apple market then they will come out with new tools. That’s what Steve was thinking.
