Motorola Droid and Cliq to get Android 2.1; Droid to get Flash 10.1
Jan 7th
Motorola has announced that they will definitely be bringing Android 2.1 to both the Motorola Droid & Motorola Cliq. Which means Droid and Cliq users should be able to enjoy all the good things like Nexus One. It’s also a matter of interest that Motoblur and Android 2.1 should interact. Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha,showed up at the end of the show to take a few questions and he said that Droid and Cliq will soon be getting Android 2.1.
Wait, it doesn’t end here for Droid. Motorola has been working on Flash 10.1 integration and has optimized it for the Droid chipset, which means Droid will soon have official Flash support. On top of that, the Droid should get a second maintenance update in the near future.
It would be a surprise if Motorola doesn’t release a firmware update for the Droid/Milestone in the coming weeks.
