Breaking News : Android 2.1 ported to T-Mobile G1

The Android hacking community strikes yet again – they have managed to port Android 2.1 to T-Mobile G1. Drizzy, of AndroidSpin is the hero this time. He has succeeded in porting the Droid Android 2.1 ROM to the first commercial mobile phone from Google
Recently a rumor surfaced that suggested G1 might be getting an official Android 2.0 or Android 2.0.1 OTA update but hey what importance does it have now.
Coming back to the ported ROM, claims are being made that the ROM is running successfully on G1. Few minor bugs are currently being fixed and a stable ROM is scheduled to arrive pretty soon.
