| Google purchased Android in 2005 for a small, undisclosed amount of money. | In the year 2005 when Google chose to make the Android company as part of its own the outside world of smart phones was overwhelmed by existing giants like iPhone and Microsoft. It was in their acclaimed presence that a noisy inclusion into the market might not have been able to bloom to its fullest. The publicity it would have gained would have involved severe comparisons with tried and tested counterparts. Any lacking on the part of Android would have been severely shunned and may have resulted in the breaking down of the entire launch sequence of it. It was in the light of these thoughts that Android, embedded with, wireless connectivity, social networking service, Google short messaging service, ability to locate the owner’s location and preferences silently made its way through to its present strong position. We are here at the Pavilion Town Dubai and as you would have noticed from my tweets, I am here for just one thing, seeing HTC One X get unleashed to the UAE smartphone loving audience.
The stage is all set for HTC’s 4.7 inch gigantic Android phone event to begin with a group of interesting bloggers and press folks itching to experience the device with their own hands. To add to the excitement, we have some nice looking food which makes this event all the more rewarding. The only thing that remains to make it a perfect event is HTC giving us a free unit of the sensational looking HTC One X (too optimistic!). OLX is basically a New York based company which provides its world-wide users to add free classified advertisements on their website, the company has recently announced its partnership with one of the renowned social networks, Friendster.
OLX website manages different domains for different locations, for example if there is a user who is visiting the OLX website from Pakistan, then that user will be asked by a prompted-message-box to get redirected to the local domain that is OLX USA domain, where it will be easy for him/her to post and search local classified ads.
