We told you that Microsoft would be announcing the HP Slate and guess what – it has been announced. It was unveiled by none other than Steve Ballmer during his CES 2010 keynote speech. From the initial look, it comes out as a beautiful looking device and since this is HP we are talking about, it bound to have a appeal to it as you can see from the picture shown below (Prototype video shown below)

The HP Slate will run on top of Windows, as one would expect. It is multi-touch enabled, has a webcam, can read Kindle books as demoed. You can even play games on it.
