Cydia is coming to Mac
When a jailbreaking guru like Jay Freeman which many of you recall as Saurik talks, we tend to listen. The creator of Cydia, the App Store for jailbroken iDevices, while talking to the 360|MacDev conference attendees revealed that Cydia is coming to the Mac.
And if I am not wrong, this has to do with Apple imposing a number of limits on the yet to go live Mac App Store. Mac Cydia is what it will be called and will give the hardworking Mac Developers an opportunity to do what Apple’s Mac App Store doesn’t allow them to do – In App Purchases, Promo codes, Apps trials and so on.
If you are a Mac Developer and want to get your app on the Mac Cydia, you need to contact an employee at patrick at saurikit.com for further details. Currently, we don’t have a concrete release date, all we know is that it is scheduled to go live in the coming weeks. When that happens, you will be the first to know.
