Its official! Dell Venue Pro WiFi problem is a software glitch
The title of the post brings a sigh of relief for the proud owners of the first Windows Phone 7 slider and off course for the manufacturers of the phone itself. Dell like a responsible entity has published a detail post on their blog in which they have acknowledged the existence of the protected WiFi connectivity bug. What’s more pleasant here is the fact that it is a software glitch only.

Here’s the part that matters the most:
We have confirmed that the Wi-Fi connectivity issue that was reported in blogs like Boy Genius Reportand Ubergizmo resulted from a software glitch during Dell’s manufacturing process. The issue affected some of our initial phone shipments and was not a hardware issue or a Windows Phone 7 one.
In case you are sick of this problem, you have the option of returning back the phone and getting a new one in exchange:
Customers who purchased Venue Pro smartphones on Monday or Tuesday (November 8 or 9) at a Microsoft Store and who are experiencing the protected Wi-Fi network connectivity issue also have the option of bringing your phone back to the Microsoft Store for an exchange, beginning at the end of next week. Your new phone will fix the Wi-Fi issue as well.
