Droid 2 to go live on 12 August

According to Engadget’s reliable source, Droid 2, the next chapter in Droid book is expected to go live on 12th of August. With the Droid X officially released, it is only natural to see leakages and rumors surface for the Droid successor and create excitement among the Droid loving folks.
This is not the first time that August has been rumored to be the release month for Droid 2. Previous rumors have highlighted 23rd August as the release date as well.
It seems as if Verizon folks have a Star Wars edition of the phone in the works as well which will have a white R2-D2 on its back. The question is which one will you prefer? While we are yet to get the official specs of the device, rumor has it that the device will be QWERTY based but without the D-pad and will run on a 750 Mhz processor.
