Droid gets limited multi-touch via Google Maps 3.4
A couple of days back, Nexus One got what many users have been waiting for – multi-touch. At that time Droid users would have been feeling a bit left out because of their uni-touch phones. But that has all changed now. Multitouch has made its way to Motorola Droid thanks to an updated Google Maps. But the sad part here is this – you can go multi-touch only when you use the Maps application from Google. Still no need to complain, right? Demo video and more features after the jump.
The updated Google Maps besides bringing the pinch-to-zoom functionality, also has the following new options:
- Starred items from google.com now sync with maps
- Search suggestions from maps include maps.google.com search history
- Night mode navigation
