Facebook for iPhone upgraded to version 3.5, adds ability to tag friends and places in posts
Good news for the owners of iPhone. Facebook app for iPhone has recently been updated to version 3.5, the developers of the application has now made it easier for users to share their content with whom they want by adding new features and better privacy controls. See the whole list of added features after the break.
Below is the list of features that has been added to the latest version of Facebook’s iOS app [iTunes link]:
- Added the ability to tag friends and places in posts
- Added the ability to share external links from a web view
- Added new design for Profile and Group Walls
- Improved the sharing tool to add privacy controls on posts and match your settings on the web site
Below is the list of improvements and bug fixes added to this version:
- Improved Notifications speed
- Fixed a number of Chat bugs
- Made it easier to select filters in News Feed
- Fixed a bug with the Notifications bar disappearing
- Fixed a number of Photos bugs
- Improved performance and stability overall
Note: A user swich2mac in the reviews section of the iTunes link has warned the devs running iOS 5 B7 that they should not update to 3.5. The user states:
For the devs out there running IOS 5 B7 DO NOT update to 3.5! It will not run! The app will open but doesn’t move from the white “loading” screen. Tried to power cycle and hard reset, both of which didn’t resolve!
