Facebook gifts you with a faster, more stable and user friendly photo uploader plug-in
Many Facebook users including you and me, have voiced their complains about the problematic photo uploader of their favorite social network. Well, Facebook has been listening to us and they decided to do something about it and have come up with a better solution. They couldn’t have announced it on a better day. Enter a new photo uploader which is basically a plug-in. This announcement comes on their 6th birthday which makes it all the more significant and memorable.
The social networking giant, which just went past the 400 million user mark, is trying is luck with a browser based plug-in this time. In order to use it, you have to install it (Of course installation will only be required on first use).
Once installed, you will be presented with a simple photo browser in form of a dialog box. Using the browser, you can navigate to the computer hard drive’s location where the desired photo is actually located. To ensure you got the right picture, you can see a picture preview in the bottom part of the uploader.
Wait, there is one more cool feature you should now about. The photo uploader supports background uploading formally referred to as asynchronous loading meaning once you start the photo uploading process, you can browse away from the navigate page or even Facebook to do other tasks.
In order to keep you informed, a notification will appear once the photo is uploaded completely.
The plug-in based photo uploader will be rolled out gradually to all the Facebook users. I am pretty much interested in evaluating the uploader on the stability and speed front. But the background uploading feature is simply fantastic, as it increases user experience and makes me want to say - Well done Facebook.
What’s your feedback on this? Do you like the new plug-in feature? Do share with us.
