Facebook, the biggest social network has finally revealed it’s new in-browser video calling facility, powered by Skype – that we told you about, in our previous post.

“So a few months ago, we started working with Skype to bring video calling to Facebook. We built it right into chat, so all your conversations start from the same place. To call your friend, just click the video call button at the top of your chat window”, states Facebook blog

You must be searching for the video calling facility of Facebook on your profiles, hold on, its not available for everyone right now, but still if you can’t resist and want to check out this amazing product launched by Facebook, then all you need is to visit the video calling page – here

How to start a video call?

1 – Once you are on the http://www.facebook.com/videocalling page.

2 – Click the green ‘Get Started’ button – it will automatically open your Facebook chat and will ask ‘Who do you want to call’.

3 – Select one of your friend from the list, with whom you want to start the video call.

4 – On the top right of the chat box, you will find a video call button – just click it to download the setup for Facebook’s video calling.

5 – Now click the set up button shown at your screens – which will ask you to save the setup file in your hard disk – save it and run the setup – wait until it gets downloaded.

6 – Enjoy the video chatting.

Beside the video calling option, Facebook through its new chat design has also introduced See The Friends You Message Most and Create a Group Chat Instantly feature. See below what Facebook blog has to say about these both features:

See The Friends You Message Most

The new chat design includes a sidebar that lists the people you message most. Now it’s easier to find your friends and start a conversation. The sidebar adjusts with the size of your browser window, and it automatically appears when the window is wide enough.

Create a Group Chat Instantly

We’re also launching multi-person chat, which is one of our most requested features. Now when your friends can’t figure out what movie to see, you can just add them to a chat and decide together. To include more friends in your conversation, simply select Add Friends to Chat.
