Blogger Exposes Fake Apple Store in China!
First, it was fake iPhones, but this time it’s something big. Yes, what could be greater than Apple store’s imitation! We have a detailed report after the break!
An American living in Kunming, capital of China’s remote south Yunnan province posted this report in his blog, BirdAbroad. The report tells us that China now has a fake apple store. At first the blogger was not sure of it, since the store looked almost real, it had everything that a real Apple store offers: employee’s blue shirts with an apple logo on it, iPads, Mac books and all other Apple products everywhere, the all over decor, and many more.
However the blogger was still not convinced, “why would the Apple Store be there?”. There were many giveaways which made it sure that it was “a beautiful ripoff,” such as, the stairs were shoddy, the walls were poorly painted, the employee’s name tags only said “staff,” and that Apple Stores’ signs usually show the company’s trademark fruit symbol but Kunming Store’s sign read “Apple Store.”
Furthermore, Apple’s website shows only Apple Stores in Beijing and Shanghai and, later Apple’s spokesperson also confirmed to MSNBC that it only has a reseller in another part of Kunming but not a retailer!
