Users of Windows Live Toolbar would be glad to know that their favorites data is still in-tact and thankfully hasn’t been lost.
This is the official announcement from Windows Live Team:
We are happy to report that this issue with the “favorites sync” feature on Windows Live Toolbar has now been fixed and you can now re-enable this feature. As we mentioned in the original post, no data was actually lost and everything will work as expected and you can again get your favorites synced back to your browser on your PC
It all started when a few Windows Live Toolbars users reported, that they were unable to see their synced favorites items on their Windows Live toolbar.
In order to prevent further damage and prevent loss of favorite items for more users, the Favorite syncing option was switched off for all users.
