Firefox 3.6.2 unleashed, fixes a critical security hole
Mozilla has rolled out an update to its latest browser Firefox 3.6. This update takes the version number to 3.6.2 which can also be referred to as Firefox 3.6.2. The upgrade doesn’t bring any new features. Instead it is a security, performance and stability release that fixes one critical security bug. More on that after the jump.
Firefox 3.6.2 features
Firefox 3.6.2 fixes the following issues found in previous versions of Firefox 3.6:
- Fixed a critical security issue that could potentially allow remote code execution (see bug 552216).
- Fixed several additional security issues.
- Fixed several stability issues.

The update is available for Windows, Linux and Mac users. Users browsers will automatically be updated once their turn arrives. However if you can’t wait then you can always go for the manual update option by going to the Help menu and select Check for Updates option.
