Froyo update for Droid X coming today (Updated)

Finally, the moment which you have been anxiously waiting for is getting nearer. Verizon Wireless Droid X support page has been updated which leads us to the belief of you folks getting the Froyo update very soon possibly today.
The only thing and the most important thing missing from the updated support page is an exact release date for the Android 2.2 update. Let’s just hope that it comes today.
You might remember the news of Droid X getting a leaked Froyo update. In case you installed the leaked Android 2.2 update on your sexy looking device, you will be required to revert back to the stocked Eclair/Android 2.1 firmware. Stay tuned as we will be posting the steps to do just that in a while. Guide to install Android 2.1 on your Droid X can be found here. Finally, it’s here. I checked for available updates in the phone info section of the settings menu and it was actually there! Weird note, it actually says version 2.3! Oh sweet relief!
