Samsung is all set to unveil its iPod Touch competitor, Galaxy Player next week at the Consumer Electronics Show. While CES 2011 will be serving as the launch pad for the media player version of Galaxy S, there is no telling who will be the first to get it. All of this has changed thanks to Wall Street Journal, who have revealed South Korea as the first lucky nation to get the Portable Media Player.

What about other countries willing to have the Galaxy Player on board? Here’s your answer:

Samsung is aiming to roll it out in other countries in the April to June period and will display it at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week.

While there is no price details available for us to comment on, Samsung intends to sell it through carriers  as well as retailer.

In case you missed the specs, Galaxy Player has a 4 inch Super LCD touch screen, 3.2 MP camera, and other usual suspects.
