Southern Mississippi equipping its students with Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
Being an honors student at the University of Southern Mississippi just got more exciting. Why? Because the University is now handing over Samsung Galaxy Tabs 10.1 to their honorable Honors students. Read more about it after the break.
Right now, the University is piloting 1000 (one thousand) Galaxy Tab 10.1 devices to be delivered to Honors College, McNair Scholars, Southern Style and Gulf Coast students. These devices, pre-loaded with BlackBoard technology will completely change the way of student’s educational experience by providing them complete mobile access to the syllabi, e-textbooks, emergency notifications, etc.
The Samsung Tablets will transform the educational space, as students and professors will be sharing the same hardware and software, making the sharing of contents between them more easier, faster, and particularly ‘fun.’ First, studying in this way won’t bore the students and will help them in increasing their interest towards studies, and secondly these tablets will reduce the amount of paper used in the classroom while providing students with more interactive learning materials. So we guess, this was the ‘great’ idea of the University President Dr. Martha D. Saunders for handing over these gizmos to the students!
The students of the University are really excited and cheerful about this idea of ‘being offered with the Galaxy Tab 10.1′. And why wouldn’t they be! Well then, we congratulate those lucky students and we hope that they will enjoy their new educational experience with this ‘Sammy’s latest gadget’.
