MicrosoftHelps: Microsoft Customer Service Center on Twitter
Every one knows that the Windows 7 launch is as close as it will ever be. Once Windows 7 rolls out, various users will have various queries regarding the latest OS. The best source to answer these questions will basically be the owners of the product Microsoft. Enter @MicrosoftHelps.
MicrosoftHelps is Microsoft’s official account on twitter for Microsoft Customer Service. Simply put it aims to assist the Twitter users in getting the resources they need related to the Microsoft products and services. Initially it will only answer questions related to Windows 7. The account is currently based on English language only.
The team that will be answering Windows 7 related queries, may direct users with complex queries to the appropriate forums where Microsoft MVPs and in-house experts will be waiting to resolve your problems.
The initial focus of this twitter account may be on Windows 7 but Microsoft aims to optimize the value of twitter and provide answer to queries related to other products as well besides Windows 7.
It would be interesting to note what is the response time of this account. Since everybody on Twitter is on the fast track, the response time should be speedy as well. We can only hope that Microsoft reaches the goals it set out to achieve with this initiative.
