Gingerbread is coming to a number of HTC Devices
When Google announced Gingerbread this Monday, a burning question of which devices will be getting the Android 2.3 update surfaced. TechRadar folks inquired HTC folks about their update plans for the HTC Desire HD. To this question, they got an interesting reply – a number of HTC devices will be blessed with the Gingerbread update.
Here’s the statement from HTC:
We are excited about the OS update coming for Android, and while HTC will definitely have some phones running this OS, we do not have a specific timeframe for new phones or updates at this time. Please stay tuned for more details.
One just wonders exactly which devices will be getting the Gingerbread update and when. Our guess is HTC Desire, HTC Desire HD, Nexus One and HTC Desire Z will all be getting the update.
