Goodbye Live Messenger, Hello Skype!
If you recently switched to Windows 8 its association with Skype as a built in client similar to the way Microsoft’s earlier Operating System versions used to be associated with Windows Live messenger must have been noticed by you. Skype is being used as a built in Application which is associated with the Microsoft account you associate with your very own personalized Windows 8. This domination of the Skype software lessened the surprise of the news that Microsoft was eventually and officially going to replace its very loyal Live Messenger with Skype.
The D-date has finally been announced. March 15 2013 is being stated as the date which his finally mark the official swapping of the Live Messenger by Skype.
Skype was earlier bought by Microsoft last year for US 8.5 Billion USD.
The current transition of Windows Live users to Skype is being implemented globally except China. The merger would definitely come as a positive sign for the existing Live messenger users owing to the usability friendly interface and facilities that Skype offers.
