Google Chrome updated to 4.0.237.0

Google’s Chrome team has been really active, may be had too much coffee for a week. The dedicated Chrome team has updated its Dev channel taking the the Google Chrome Dev channel version to 4.0.237.0. Google Chrome version 4.0.237.0 brings stability fixes, polishes a few features, and stabilizes various Chrome extensions. The latest update comes out as an update for all platforms namely Linux, Windows and Mac.

Mac

  • Significant improvements made to bookmark  bar

Linux

  • Audio playing improvements in video/audio tags.
  • Fixes international keyboard handling (alt-gr, ctrl+f).
  • Now works in the Omnibox to expand to home directories.
  • Resolves conflicts between accelerator keys and HTML DOM accesskeys.
  • Inactive pinned tabs on Linux throb when the title changes.
  • Text drawn over rounded corners (including buttons) is no longer blurry. This affected a variety of sites, including Google Calendar and Google Reader.
  • Changed the way how clicking works for Omnibox.

Extensions

  • Add badge text color API. Also change color APIs from ARGB to RGBA.
  • Browser actions (buttons, popups) are now implemented.
  • Now works in the Omnibox to expand to home directories.
  • Add support for tab-specific state to browser actions. Also, fix the bug where only the first call to setIcon() works.
  • Constrain browser action popups to a min/max size. Also fix some glitches in popup sizing.
  • Use a better signature for the new page actions API.
