Want a cool way to search for images using Google Image Search on Android and iPhone? Your wish has been answered as the search engine giants have updated the Google Image Search for mobile with swipe gesture support.

With this update, users can now move back and forth between the image search result pages as well as the individual images with a simple finger swipe in the left or right direction. The thumbnails have been reduced to square size to maximize the number of images we can get on the screen at one time so you can scan them quickly. While viewing the image, you will see a black background to make sure you are not distracted.

To try this new version of Image Search, just go to www.google.com on your phone and tap on “Images.” The new experience is available in 38 languages worldwide. This feature is currently available for only Android 2.1 and iPhone 3.0 or above devices.
