A few minutes back we informed you about Bing integrating with Twitter and providing Twitter search. We told you guys that Google will not be a silent spectator and we were right. Google has also announced its intentions to bring Twitter search to the world’s top search engine. This is what Google had to say:

We are very excited to announce that we have reached an agreement with Twitter to include their updates in our search results. We believe that our search results and user experience will greatly benefit from the inclusion of this up-to-the-minute data, and we look forward to having a product that showcases how tweets can make search better in the coming months

This is really cool. Think of it in this terms. Let’s say I search about Windows 7, I will get real time results that will show what people are saying (in terms of tweets) about Windows 7. It remains to be seen how Google integrates Twitter search into its powerful search engine. I am confident that it Google will strive to provide a seamless experience.

One question still remains, neither Bing nor Google has disclosed the amount of money will Twitter get that resulted in this agreement.
