Here is what the invitation card says
With the launch of the first Android-powered device just over a year ago, we’ve seen how a powerful, open platform can spur mobile product innovation. And this is just the beginning of what’s possible.
Please join us in Mountain View on January 5, for an Android press gathering.
The press event is a 3.5 hour event, and includes demonstrations and other interesting segments. Yes, Google will be taking care of your lunch requirements for that day as well.
The choice of date is really interesting - just a couple of days before the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) kicks off at Las Vegas. However, I don’t think that the Android press gathering will be able to shift the focus away from the CES event.
