Gmail users are now having an option to preview their emails while reading other mails and also replying to others. This new feature by Google is known as Preview Pane and is available in Gmail labs tab.

Gmail Preview Pane

Maciek Nowakowski, Google’s Associate Product Manager wrote on Google’s official blog:

When I check my email, I often rely on the message snippets to figure out which message to open first. Sometimes though, I want to see more than snippets, which is why I’m happy to announce that you can now preview messages in your inbox using a new feature in Gmail labs called Preview Pane.

All you need to do is enable “Preview Pane” from the Gmail labs tab and then click on the toggle button on the top right to switch to the split pane mode, as shown below:

Activating “Preview Pane” will split your page into three sections, with Preview Pane in between the navigation and the email panes. You can also choose whether you want a 3 pane vertical view or a 3 pane horizontal view by selecting any of the options as shown below:

However if you guys are not satisfied with this new look for your Gmail you can easily disable the feature in Gmail labs tab from Gmail Settings.

If you are using this feature, let us know about your experience.
