Google Voice goes live for iPad and iPod Touch
Quick Share:
When Google unleashed Google Voice for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users were wondering when will they get their share of the pie. Guess what, that time has arrived as you can now use Google Voice on your iPad or iPod Touch for that matter.
Here’s a rundown of what you need to know about the app:
- iPad and iPod Touch calls won’t be able to make voice calls (obviously).
- Send free text messages.
- Initiate calls on your phone from iPad/iPod Touch using the Click2Call feature.
- Disables Text forwarding automatically when enabling Push Notifications.
- Make yourself invisible by using the Do not Disturb setting.
- Requires iOS 3.1 and higher, and a Google account.
- Works in US only.
Those who already have the app installed can update it by using the App Store to good effect.
