google-microsoftThe internet is completely full of life  with two new products, from two very old rivals (Google and Microsoft). The first being Microsoft, with there never ending search engine name change, is suppose to release Bing and other Wave from Google.

Microsoft’s Bing search engine and Google Wave are two distinct products, but they showcase where in the ecosystem each vendor is as well as current strengths and possible strategic mistakes.

Microsoft Bing is their new search engine that goes beyond the powers of any search engine you’re using now. Bing will search deeper, gathering information from multiple sites, and offer easy customizing. On the left hand side will be a toolbar that will allow you to further refine your search. Imagine searching for the word “Cobra”– on the side there will be choices for “Cars,” “Snakes”… etc. It’s search made easier.

Google Wave will is a mix between gmail, IM’s, twitter, facebook, blogger, and chat rooms. Google Wave is an in-browser service that needs no downloads, no plugins, and combines all the services you need into one page, that is constantly being update. Want to talk to your friends, or post pictures for all to see… no need to use Facebook anymore.

Google Wave has it all, in one screen, in one browser tab, for some or all to see. It’s communication at it’s finest.
