Greenpois0n RC5_4 brings untethered jailbreak for the Verizon iPhone
It’s raining Greenpois0n updates folks. That’s the best way to describe the recent roll out of Greenpois0n RC5 updates for the Windows and Mac version. The Chronic Dev Team have rolled out Greenpoison RC5_4 aka Greenpois0n RC5 b4 for both the Mac and Windows platform, which brings untethered jailbreak for the Verizon iPhone, as speculated previously.
With this release, Greenpois0n gets the ability to bring untethered jailbreak for not one but two firmwares – iOS 4.2.1 and iOS 4.2.6. The last few days have been an adventurous and activity filled for the Chronic Dev Team. The jailbreak gang started making their presence felt on Friday when they released Greenpois0n RC5 for Mac. The team kept the momentum going as they released Greenpois0n RC5 for Windows in late part of Saturday.
If you happen to own a Verizon iPhone and are willing to give it the jailbreak treatment using Greenpois0n RC5_4, we wish you best of luck for that and hope you could share your end result with us. Thanks in advance.
