Own an Android handset?. Android users will be happy to know that Adobe systems has just released Adobe Photoshop application for the Android platform. Using this app, users get the option to  edit their photos and view their  online photos collection on Photoshop.com. It also allows users to upload their pictures from the comfort of their Android powered phones.

The app comes after almost a month since Adobe Photoshop was launched for iPhone and iPod users.

Adobe Photoshop app for Android features

The features that this photo editing app brings include:

  • Crop, rotate, and color-correct with the touch of a finger.
  • Add soft focus or change to black & white with a click.
  • Go classic by adding a sepia tint.
  • Intuitive Photo Browser for viewing local and online images.
  • Straighten picture against a grid (Android exclusive feature, not available for iPhone/iPod Touch users)
  • Auto-uploader

Auto-uploader is a cool feature that can automatically send any photo you take on your Android device to Photoshop.com’s cloud storage. All you need to do is turn this option on and leave the rest to this app. You don’t need to launch the app in order to let Auto-uploader upload all the pictures you take automatically.

Sadly there is some bad news, the Photoshop app for Android has less features in comparison to the Photoshop app for iPhone and iPod Touch. The features that are missing include:

  • Filter effects menu
  • Sketch tool
