Just a couple of hours back, we informed you about the release of ultrasn0w 0.92. ultrasn0w 0.92 brings a fix for the missing carrier name and logo bug for unlocked iPhone devices running iPhone OS 3.1.2. As promised, we are listing the steps that will enable you to use ultrasn0w 0.92 and restore the missing carrier name and logo.

Steps to fix the carrier name and logo problem using ultrasn0w 0.92

The steps are stated below:

  1. Open Cydia.
  2. Tap the Manage Tab.
  3. Touch the Sources option and then tap the Edit option
  4. It will prompt you to enter a URL. Enter http://musclenerd.com and then tap the Add Source button.
  5. Search for ultrasn0w and install it.
  6. Once the installation completes successfully, reboot your iPhone.

That’s it. You just unlocked your iPhone and retrieved the appropriate carrier name and logo.

Note

  • Ultrasn0w 0.92 will be moved to repo666 so, If you can’t add musclenerd repo then simply search for repo666 from Cydia.
  • If you get No service after restart, simple reset your network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings)

my iphone 3g is OS 3.0 and i updated to ultrasnow 0.92 what is the impact of this can i reverse?
