How To Install New Ink Cartridges In Your Printers
There is nothing worse than midway through printing, the flashing light on your printer comes on and the pop up on your desktop warns you that you are running low on ink. There is always the risk that halfway through your task you may run out, resulting in faded, streaky and poor quality prints.
Not having your compatible ink cartridges pre ordered and ready to install is one thing, but not knowing how to replace your old ink cartridges can make yielding high quality prints quickly a bit of a problem.
The best thing to do is sit down with your printer’s manual and follow a step by step guide as to how to replace the original printer inks with the new refills. Do not force the old cartridges out or try and squeeze new cheap ink in – ensure you have purchased the right make of ink for your model of printer. Make sure you do not expose the new ink cartridges before you are ready to install them. This will reduce the risk of damaging them or allowing them to dry out. Dispose of the old cartridges as instructed, you can even recycle them and do your bit for the environment.
You may question whether there is a difference between branded ink cartridges and compatible ones, and here at Geekword, and speaking from experience, we can safely say it is only the price.
Compatible ink cartridges tend to fit and perform just as well as OEM (original) printer inks – and can be brought cheaply due to the fact they are remanufactured by retailers. Using these will save a substantial amount of money and time on your printing, as the industry is awash with companies looking to distribute these at a discounted price.
