How to put iPhone into DFU mode
Quick Share:
While jailbreaking your iPhone, you are normally required to put your device in DFU mode (which by the way stands for Device Firmware Update). This method is used to restore your firmware or should I say iPhone OS. Here is the guide that will help you in putting your iPhone into DFU mode.

Steps to put iPhone into DFU mode
- Launch iTunes.
- Connect your iPhone to your computer.
- Press and hold the Home(aka Menu) button and the Sleep/Wake Button at the same time.
- After 10 seconds, release the sleep/wake button.
- Continue holding the Home button until iTunes prompts you with a message that says iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.
