HTC Desire will receive Gingerbread love
Have we got good news for our proud HTC Desire owners or what? HTC representative who was at the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona, told CNET that HTC will be rolling out Gingerbread for the very popular HTC Desire, which we have referred to as the perfected version of Nexus One.
When will the update go live for the original Desire? This is a question for which there isn’t a precise answer as of now. But what we can tell you is that it will be unleashed a month or two after HTC Desire S hits the retail stores.
The Gingerbread powered HTC Desire S will go live in the middle of the second quarter. Keeping this in mind, we are looking at the update hitting your handset in the second half of 2011. HTC Desire Z and HTC Desire HD will be getting the update first which won’t exactly excite HTC Desire owners.
