HTC HD2 2.0.1 T-Mobile US ROM leaks out
Yesterday, we informed you about HTC HD2 arriving in USA via T-Mobile thanks to a dumped ROM. This very ROM which was destined for T-Mobile, has been leaked out. Like I just said, since it is T-Mobile and US specific, using it outside US might cause some problems.
Reports are in that identify that the ROM has some radio issues when used in Europe. The ROM is a mix bag actually. On the negative side it has an old version OS and drivers. On the positive side, it has new apps such as Teeter, keyboard, HTC Sense and more. As a matter of fact we covered the updated HTC Sense in detail, check it out here.
So you advised to try this ROM at your own risk. We recommend you to stick with the current version.
A curious XDA member played with the leaked ROM and here is what he thinks:
- It’s a test rom.
- It’s branded by T-Mobile.
- It seems fast as 1.61.
- I’ve got problem with data connection, maybe because of its american nature.
- I’m going back to 1.61, waitin’ for a future release :-)
