What will you call the younger brother of HTC Desire? Desire junior? You can call it by any name you like. However HTC folks have named it HTC Wildfire. Before you start thinking on the wrong lines, let me tell you the specs set is still amazing. The Taiwanese cell phone manufacturers are looking to promote this device as a social networking gadget for the young guns, something which Microsoft adopted for its recently launched social networking phone, Kin. More details on the specifications after the jump.

HTC Wildfire specifications:

Here is what the minimized version of HTC Desire will bring:

  • Android 2.1.
  • HTC Sense.
  • 5 MP camera with Autofocus and LED Flash.
  • 3.2 inch QVGA display screen.
  • Wi-Fi.
  • Bluetooth 2.1.
  • 512 MB ROM.
  • 384 MB RAM.
  • 528 Mhz procesor.

We have kept the most unique feature of the device for the last. HTC Wildfire will bring a unique feature in the form of an app share widget that will allow you to recommends the apps you like to your friends and family members via email, SMS and social networking sites. The device is expected to land at the European and Asian markets in Q3.

Here is a though that just hit my mind. Is HTC adopting a policy of rolling out a minimized version of the device that brings it a lot of business. If you remember, they did the same thing with HTC HD2 by rolling out HTC HD Mini. Let’s see if HTC Wildfire will bring in more bucks.
