Amazon AppStore for Android has gone live and Yes we know it’s looking cool and some may even rate it better than the Android Market. But before you download apps you need to install the AppStore on your Android smartphone. Installation guide awaits you after the break.

Install Amazon AppStore for Android

Step 1: Go to the Settings screen of your phone.

Step 2: Click Applications.

Step 3: Check Unknown Sources if it isn’t already

Step 4: Click OK on the Attention dialog.

Step 5: Open this link http://amzn.to/getamazonappstore in your Android browser or if you wish you can open the email / SMS you received from Amazon and tap the link provided in the email/text message.

Step 6: Wait for the Amazon AppStore for Android to download.

Step 7: Once the installation is completed, open the notifications tray and click on Amazon AppStore.apk

Step 8: Tap Install.

Step 9: Click Open.

Step 10: Sign in with your Amazon credentials and let the downloading begin.
