The arrival of iOS 4 didn’t bring good news for the likes of iPhone 2G and iPod Touch 1G as Apple announced their end of support for the said devices. But then Whitedoor stepped in and saved the day for the classical iPhone and iPod Touch models. The team behind the Whited00r project have done it yet again as they have brought iOS 4.2.1 for the unattended iDevice models which also includes iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G.

Whited00r

Here’s how the whited00r does the unthinkable. It runs a modded version of iOS 3.1.3 which includes features (multi-tasking etc) and an iOS 4.2 like UI. The changelog for the latest update goes like this:

  • Really similar to v4.1 but this should run faster (unused dependencies removed).
  • New Multitasking by Darlo included (not a great new for many of you, but lots of new users could have problems installing Multitasking without Activator)
  • Older Backgrounder to avoid dependencies (tested and safe..) < only way to remove activator from libexe
  • Minor changes
