Steps to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPod Touch 4G/3G using Greenpois0n
Pre-requisites
- Greenpois0n for Windows (Download Link).
- iOS 4.1 enabled iPod Touch 4G/3G. If you don’t have iOS 4.1 running on your iDevice, update your iDevice firmware by using the guide posted here.
Step 1: Download Greenpois0n for Windows from the link posted above.
Step 2: Power off your iPod Touch 4G/3G.
Step 3: Connect your iPod Touch to your PC via the USB cable.
Step 4: Click on Prepare to jailbreak (DFU) button.
Step 5: For 2 seconds, press and hold the Sleep button.
Step 6: While keeping hold of the sleep button press and hold the Home button for the next 10 seconds.
Step 7: Release the Sleep button and keep your hold on the Home button.
Step 8: If you performed Steps 5, 6 and 7 correctly you will see a greyed out Ready to Jailbreak button
Step 9: Click the Jailbreak! button and let the Greenpois0n do its magic.
