i0n1c has done it again. The iPhone hacker whose real name is Stefan Esser seems to have jailbroken the iOS 4.3.1. And no folks it isn’t a tethered jailbreak as you will see in the video that awaits you after the break.

iOS 4.3.1 untethered jailbreak

Here’s what you need to know about this latest jailbreaking effort:

  • This is the first untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak.
  • The exploit used won’t support the iPad 2 since the bootrom exploits have been fixed by Apple.
  • i0n1c, who was the first to bring an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3, has no intentions to release a jailbreak tool. Instead he will be handing out the untethered exploit possibly to the iPhone Dev Team. There’s a chance that the exploit could be rolled out as a cydia package, if feasible.
  • No ETA has been provided by i0n1c since he got constantly insulted by folks who couldn’t play the patience game.
