Here comes iOS 5 jailbreak
We just told you about the unveiling of Apple’s latest iOS 5, and guess what? It has been jailbroken!
Yes, that’s right, a member of the iPhone Dev Team, Musclenerd has recently posted two photos on his Twitter account, displaying the jailbroken iOS 5 running smoothly on an iPod Touch 4g.
See below the message and photos shared via Musclenerd’s Twitter account:
According to Musclenerd, it is a tethered jailbreak, which means the jailbreak needs to be reapplied every time you power down your device. If you restart your device then you will need to reapply the jailbreak by connecting the device to your computer.
It should also be noted that iOS 5 is only available for developers right now, if you are a developer then you can download iOS 5 for developers from – here. According to Apple, iOS 5 will publicly be available in the fall and will support the following devices:
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4
- 3rd and 4th generation iPod touch
- iPad 2
- iPad
