Apple: iOS 5 battery issue still lives
The title of the post says it all doesn’t it? Apple in a statement given to AllThingsD has acknowledged the ongoing iOS 5 battery life issues and says that it is looking into the few remaining issues.
Here’s the exact statement given by the Cupertinos:
The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices. We continue to investigate a few remaining issues
The last part of the statement is kind of confusing for me because as far as I remember, the iOS 5.0.1 changelog clearly said that it fixed all the battery issues.
Looking at this statement from a totally different angle, a rather positive one, it is in a way acknowledgement from the makers of the iPhone that the battery juice crisis still lives. But I am not so sure if all iDevice owners will see it this way based on the reaction voiced by some after installing iOS 5.0.1.
All we can hope is that Apple kills this issue once and for all so that all of us can enjoy using the magical iDevices. Do you think Apple will be able to fix this issue with iOS 5.0.2?
