Google maps hacked to run on iOS 6
Well Well Well! What have we here. Ryan Petrich, a man who needs no introduction in the jailbreak and iOS universe has done a wonderful thing for the folks who have been disappointed by the Apple Maps. The iOS jailbreak developer has managed to run Google Maps on iOS 6, a video demo of which follows after the break.
The phone used in the video is an iPhone 3GS which of course was updated to iOS 6. A quick tap on the Maps icon loads the increasingly desirable Google Maps. The video quality is a bit on the low side for which the iOS hacker has already apologized but hey who cares as long as the genius developer is delivering the goods.
The question is when and how can you get your hands on this hack. Well for you to get this hack, you need to have a jailbroken iDevice. Coming to the release and availability part, the hack isn’t available for public just yet as there are still few bugs that need to be fixed before it is ready for world wide action.
