A new day means a new feature discovery for the recently launched iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 3. Apple Insider reports of the 3rd edition of iPhone OS 4.0 Beta having new spelling features. As a matter of fact these spelling features happen to be similar to the ones that are available on the extremely popular iPad.

The new spelling system builds on Apple’s existing copy and paste feature. Here is how the new system works. User touches the word that is misspelled (underlined in red) and then taps the Replace option. After pressing the Replace button, the new system takes the center stage and offers valid suggestions in blue type, allowing for one touch correction.

Since this is a feature essentially borrowed from iPad 3.2, I just wonder if the rumor of iPhone and iPad OS becoming one will become true or not. What about you? Do let us know. iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 3 has brought with a few new and interesting features such as iPod widget and orientation lock, direct file sharing with PC/Mac,  and the ability to record HD quality videos.
