iPhone 4S/5 isn’t coming next week
Last time we talked about the iPhone 4S, we shared with you a rumor which suggested that Apple will unveil the next gen iPhone on 6th June. Well we have a conflicting rumor to share with you this time. According to a tip received by Techcrunch, the Cupertinos won’t be announcing the iPhone 4 successor come Monday when the WWDC 11 kicks off in San Francisco.

The speculation of iPhone 4S launch on 6th June was created by Electricpig the basis of which was Apple inviting UK journalists. Techcrunch’s unnamed source is of the opinion that Apple’s push to invite journalists to attend WWDC has to do with software announcements of iOS 5 and Mac OS X Lion being huge and not the ones to miss out on.

Apple will be able to scan customers’ digital music libraries in iTunes. If the sound quality of a particular song on a user’s hard drive isn’t good enough, Apple will be able to replace it with a higher-quality version…This is one of the best service that apple offers to all the consumers. Thanks for sharing this.

Yea thats about as far from a breakthrough as it gets. The breakthrough they need, like Justin said, is to allow 3rd party software on their products, and stop trying to drive established venues out of the market. Sooner or later they and Microsoft (who has already seen the writing on the wall) will have to realize Open Source is the future of software anyhow
